Box 618 Winton, NC 27986 (252) 358-3761 Physical location: State Road 1400, Winton 1) Provides technical assistance in implementing forest management such as reforestation, timber harvesting and prescribed burning. 2) Promotes reforestation by using cost-share programs to encourage land owners to plant their cutovers. 3) Provide fire prevention programs in schools and day cares. 4) Offers a forest stewardship program and a multiple use management plan which address timber, wildlife, soil conservation and aesthetics.
